The Judges of Macomb County Divorce Court

Macomb County Circuit Court – Family Division:  At Findling Law, we have the great privilege of appearing before divorce courts throughout the state of Michigan.  One of these courts is the Macomb County Circuit Court.   The Macomb County Circuit Court – Family Division is simply known as the Macomb County Divorce Court.

The Macomb County Divorce Court is located at 40 N Main St., Mt. Clemens, Michigan 48043

The Macomb County Divorce Court is staffed by four experienced and knowledgeable Macomb County Divorce Court judges:

Matt Switalski

The Honorable Matt S. Switalski is the Chief Judge (Pro Temore) of the Macomb County Circuit Court and was elected to the Macomb County Divoce Court in 2002.  He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and University of Detroit School of Law.

Mark S. Switalski

 

The Honorable Mark S. Switalski was formerly the chief judge of the 39th District Court and was elected to the Macomb County Divorce Court in November of 2000.  He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Boston University School of Law in 1976.

Tracey Yokich

 

The Honorable Tracey A. Yokich was appointed to the Macomb County Probate bench by Governor Granhom (D) in 2003.  She is a former Macomb County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney and served three terms in the Michigan House of Representatives representing the city of Eastpoint.  She is a graduate of the University of Detroit school of law.

Rancilo

 

The Honorable Rachel Rancilio was elected to the Macomb County Divorce Court in November of 2016.  Judge Rancilio was a former divorce attorney in Macomb County.  She is a graduate of the University of Detroit, Mercy and Wayne State University School of Law.

Judge Rancilo’s Courtroom is located on 4th floor of the Macomb County Divorce Courthouse.

The Macomb County Divorce Court works closely with the Macomb County Friend of the Court which provides services to parties with minor children involving divorce, family support, interstate and paternity cases.  The Friend of the court is located at 10 N. Main St., Mt. Clemens, Michigan next door to the Courthouse.

The Macomb County Friend of the Court is staffed by referees, counselors, support specialists and support staff that assist the Oakland County Divorce  Court Judges resolve disputes and perform other administrative functions.

An important consideration before entering the Macomb County Divorce Court and the Macomb County Friend of the Court are the security requirements.  You will be subject to building security before you enter the court and must pass through a medical detector.  The specific items being banned changes however, cellphones with a camera and weapons are always banned. 

For many divorce, custody and family law related issues, there is no need to travel all of the way to the courthouse.  You can access many resources online.
